Finally, I’m free from deadlines! I’m back at home, which means it’s time to NeRF our cats 😅

NeRF capture and re-render done with Luma AI.

Step 1: wait for Boy cat to fall asleep (and yes that’s his name). Can’t have him moving at all for this.

Step 2: hop onto my Luma AI app, and capture different angles of boy cat in freeform mode. I’ve found freeform mode to give better results than guided.

Step 3: Wait for Luma to do their NeRF magic, and voila! Time to play with the camera paths.

So recently, Boy cat is obsessed with wanting to go outside the house. Let’s make a render of him outside and show it to him 🙃. I’m going to export a low-poly mesh of his NeRF from Luma and re-render him in Blender.

As usual, I love my depth of field, so let’s turn that up here.
